Lydia Nelson
Friedland
My visual
voice has been shaped by a variety of influences. These
include personal and social issues as well as nature’s
wonders. My latest body of work incorporates staples. I like
to experiment. This medium can be mixed with a wide assortment
of materials to create fascinating resemblances to both armor
and beadwork. Even the reverse side of this medium has an
intriguing organic quality. This medium metaphorically
reflects such diverse expressions as anger, pain, frustration,
obsession, beauty and humor.
The artist is a full-time
