My current artwork is all about imagination………an “unusable” piece of a wrecked racecar finds a new home and new purpose in life as artwork to be viewed indoors or outdoors, in art galleries, private collections or museums. I am attracted to the abstract patterns and shapes of the car panels covered with sponsor stickers and am challenged to create backgrounds for the panels.

The process of building one of these pieces begins with computer sketches to act as a guide. Using Adobe Photoshop, I create background designs adding the digitized car panels after I find a design that I like. Now, I can manipulate color, size and placement to create the best combinations. Even with this kind of preparation, I have found that I still have to make adjustments and changes on the final piece, which is fine, because that is what art and life is all about……adjustments, changes and creativity…………
